The excitement, the cheer, and impatience are all showing on the faces of seasonal gamers are too much to ignore, and telling by their expressions, the game should have arrived sooner. According to the latest announcement, the game will be released on April 16, 2020. The great news was announced at E3 2019 where the second gameplay demo was showcased. The demo showed combat, the systems of the game, and character progressions. So what’s the latest scoop about the game?

Keanu Reeves is in the Game

What could be greater news than hearing that your favorite actor features in a video game? Moreover, Keanu Reeves is so happy to feature in Cyberpunk 2077 and was even at the E3 2019 to celebrate the announcement. Since the game was first announced in 2012, fans have been anxiously waiting to steam up their consoles and gaming PCs with the newest thrill.

Reeves features as an anarchist with robotic hands and great eyewear taste. He has starred in movies like Neo, John Wick, Ted “Theodore” Logan, and he can hardly escape the minds of his fans. It seems he will continue captivating them in Cyberpunk 2077. He was the one who announced the release date shortly after a version of him was showcased in the game’s trailer.

Next-Gen Xbox Scarlett and PS5 Compatible

Every console lover is looking forward to the day they will have PS5 or Xbox Scarlet’s controllers on the hands and enjoy a brand new gaming experience. Cyberpunk 2077 will be formally released in 2020, and the same year, Sony’s Play Station 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Scarlet will be launched.

Despite console makers revealing about the upcoming flagships, there has been no news confirming that Cyberpunk is available for those consoles. But, according to Miles Tost, who is the senior level designer, CD Projekt Red is exploring the possibilities.

Tost mentioned that even though the developer has put all their attention on the current consoles and PC, they wouldn’t mind developing a game for the consoles, but their interest at that moment was on the PS4 and Xbox One.

However, PlayStation and Project Scarlet have confirmed to be compatible backward, meaning they can play games intended for the predecessors. Both are more powerful than the current generation’s consoles, and Tost was probably speaking about what Cyberpunk 2077 would achieve on them.

The Game Faced Criticism

Being one of the biggest games announced in this year’s E3, Cyberpunk 2077 receives praises and criticism in equal measure. The demo and trailers raised some concerns about trans representation to some people. The animal’s gang in the game led to some people believing that those black animals were black people labeled like them.

The criticism attracted Mike Pondsmith, Cyberpunk RPG’s creator’s attention. He stated that he would have helped make the game better, but he was heavily involved. He went on Reddit and explained that he was no longer involved with the development of Cyberpunk 2077. Pondsmith went ahead to clarify that the point of having the animals was to show they are dangerous, powerful, and wild.

Cyberpunk 2077 Night City

The Cyberpunk 2077 neon-lit Night City is one of the most exciting features of the game. It looks like an expansive, impressive and very neon, but according to the lead quest designer Pawel Sasko, it won’t be the only location in the game that you will explore.

He also revealed that gamers would have the ability to go beyond the walls and explore an area known as the Badlands. The area is populated by nomads and has its own quest. He also revealed that one could start the game as a nomad and begin the story outside the city.

Yong Yea, a YouTuber, confirmed that Cyberpunk would have multiple endings. It hasn’t been confirmed yet how many there will be, but the news was tied with the expansive nature of the game.

Perks, Skills, and Attributes

You will be able to customize your character’s overall look, including backstory and their base skills, and you will give them perks that truly define them. For example, do you want to have a ninja samurai from the streets talented with combat? You can create one.

There are many choices, and you aren’t completely limited to one of them. But the developer doesn’t want you to have one single play style.

The perks screen that was shown during the demo had more than 20 perks players can choose from and level up. The perks have an impact on the character’s actions. They also have an impact on the choices you make in NPCs conversation.

Latest Impressions

Cyberpunk 2077 looks phenomenal with CD Projekt Red eager to make it the best RPG game by pushing forward benchmarks in storytelling, open-world-design, and creating one’s character. Of course, at the moment, all can be said, but we can’t make any judgment without experiencing the game ourselves. But based on the past work, we know that the developers will pull this off.

2020 will be an excellent year for gamers. It will be the year that new generation consoles will be released to the world. It will also be the time that fans will play Cyberpunk 2077 for the first time. We can’t wait for the heavenly period.
